Hard Part exists for the step after the deck: the tolerances, the materials, the prototype that either holds weight or doesn't. We're hiring the engineer who owns that step end to end.
Responsibilities
Take a design from CAD to a first article that actually meets spec — no simulation stands in for the drop test. Own supplier and materials decisions, not just the drawing. Tell the team the truth about what's actually hard before a deadline forces the truth out anyway.
Requirements
Comfortable being wrong in public during iteration, and precise when it ships. Real fabrication or manufacturing experience, not just CAD. Would rather ship a smaller real thing than a larger rendering.
